How I went from serial yo-yo dieter struggling to gain back her pre-mom physique to helping countless women achieve and maintain their dream bodies.

 

As a mom of three, two energetic, vibrant toddlers and a baby who is less than a year old, I am constantly juggling motherhood, marriage, career, and personal pursuits. For most of my life, I struggled with a disordered view of my body.

I had always believed that to look good, I have to eat less to weigh less.

I was a serial dieter that fell prey to fad diets such as Keto, IF, Paleo, and Cohen. Any diet that has a name, I most likely have tried it!

 

I found myself strictly following the diet on weekdays, binging excessively on the weekends, and feeling a lot of guilt and shame afterward. I would get to my goal weight or physique until I couldn’t maintain it. Worse, I felt so lost and restricted.

 

I thought, “IS THIS UNENDING CYCLE OF RESTRICTING THEN BINGEING REALLY IT FOR ME?"

 

A few months after giving birth to my son, I tried to get back to my pre-pregnancy body through the Keto diet and IF. It worked for a while, but just like before, I couldn’t sustain the pounds I shed.

After I got pregnant and gave birth to my second child, I was back to feeling lost and stuck in a body I did not recognize. I had gone up to XL in my pants size and felt utterly defeated.

But the fighter in me did not give up.

 

I started strength training and slowly began to lose some fat. It wasn’t until I joined a group challenge and tried macro counting that I discovered the science behind nutrition—how I should eat in respect to my movement without the need to restrict food groups.

When I focused on my nutrition via macro counting, that’s when I finally achieved my physique goals! The process wasn’t an exhausting uphill battle I was bound to lose but something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life.

More than just attaining my dream body, I had a startling realization. There was a huge gap in education, guidance, and support in nutrition and movement—particularly for women.

I found my calling

 

Amid the pandemic, I pivoted to nutrition coaching.

Armed with a degree in psychology and my certifications as a personal trainer and nutrition coach, I use my personal experiences of being a serial yo-yo dieter and the dark days of my postpartum season to help women. I make their metabolism run faster and ultimately get them out of the dieting hamster wheel.

Through metabolism science, functional nutrition, and postpartum fitness, I can guide you toward building your best and strongest body!
